About TLA
Tippecanoe Lacrosse Association, Inc. (TLA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Tippecanoe County, IN whose goal is to promote youth lacrosse in the local area. Formed in 2015, TLA works to bring America's fastest-growing sport to Northwest Indiana and provide a great option for local youth to play this fast-paced and dynamic game. Lacrosse has its origins with Native American populations in the 17th century, so it is also North America's oldest team sport.
We provide opportunities for youth lacrosse players to develop important, positive qualities like sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and respect for coaches, officials, parents, and other players. We also encourage coaches to develop their skills as mentors, trainers, and builders of character. We promote the sport locally and across the state, and we align our goals with the Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association, Indiana Girls's Lacrosse Association, and Indiana High School Lacrosse Association.
Youth lacrosse players gain fitness, learn team strategies, and develop excellent hand-eye coordination. High school and collegiate lacrose programs are growing acrosse the nation, so no matter where our youth go to school, it is likely that they can continue to play lacrosse.
Our organization is not affiliated with any school and players from any school can join one of teams. We currently have thirteen (13) area schools represented on our teams.
You can join our mission by encouraging your youth to try lacrosse, joining our organization, volunteering to coach, or financially supporting our mission. For more information about any of these options, just contact us.
